SNI is the Indonesian National Standard nationally applicable in Indonesia. The SNI standard was first drafted by the technical committee and defined by the National Standardisation Agency of Indonesia (BSN).
List of Products is Mandatory to Obtain SNI Certificate before exported to Indonesia. this list is changable depend on the updated regulation by Goverment
The 285 mandatory product categories to be certified include household appliances, tyres, rims, bicycles, toys, helmets, safety glass, fertilisers, wheat flour, electrical and electronic products, food, mineral water, textiles, ceramics, LEDs, and others.
SNI SCHEME
There are three certification schemes, scheme 1b, scheme 4 and scheme 5 (most common).
SCHEME 5
The system includes testing and assessment of the quality system
involved. Surveillance of the quality system is conducted and samples of the product may be taken from either the market or the point of production, or both, and are assessed for ongoing
conformity. This certification system includes the following:
—>Sample requested by the certification body
—>Determination of characteristic by testing or assessment
—>Initial assessment of the production process or the quality system, as applicable
—>Evaluation of the test and assessment reports
—>License
—>Surveillance of the production process or quality system or both organization
—Surveillance by testing or inspection of samples from the factory or the open market, or both
